Another Northern California Wave

Here’s a shot I took during a nice swell in the winter of 2012. This wave was a fast and furious left that was firing off a sand bar at North Beach, Point Reyes, California. There were about five of us in the water and we all scored some nice rides. The paddle was rough if you didn’t walk up the beach to find a nice rip to ride out and then use the current to pull you into position. I saw a couple of guys try to paddle straight out but they were rejected and finally gave up after a few attempts.
